Way, way in the back

The size of my sidebar is annoying me. It's larger than it should be becuase I have an entry with a long title still in the "recent posts" area. I really need to come up with some javascript to shorten those titles to some known length. But I'd rather drive roofing nails into my knees than sit around writing javascript. One more post ought to scroll the offending post out. So here it is.
